1. What are the Part-time job options available for international students?

In the United Kingdom, international students are allowed to work part-time; they can work up to 20 hours per week during study term and full-time hours during vacations.

International students find work in restaurants, retail outlets, the health care sector etc., and sometimes at events that keep happening around. It is quite possible to find a job opportunity at the campus itself, but this depends on the availability. What every job you undertake you’ll at least be getting a national minimum wage as per the law, but the possibilities are always to get paid higher.

2. Do I need to provide the English Language proof for admissions?

It depends on the admission requirements, which usually vary from course to course and university to university. The most acceptable English Language proficiency exam are as follows:

  • IELTS: International English Language Testing System
  • TOEFL: Test of English as a Foreign Language
  • PTE: Pearson Test English

Some universities or colleges may require GMAT: Graduate Management Admission Test or GRE: Graduate Record Examinations, but again it depends on admission requirements.

3. What is the admission application procedure in the Universities?

Usually, most universities in the United Kingdom have simple application procedures. The universities have got September/October intake and January/ February, but this varies from course to course and university to university.

Most universities require your academics, experience (if you have any) and proof of language proficiency. It is advisable to start your application at least four months before your studies; if there is a requirement for the language proficiency exam, it should fulfil accordingly and at the earliest to avoid any delays with the admission procedure.

4. How may I apply for a visa to study in The United Kingdom?

You can now apply online for your study visa to the United Kingdom; still, it is required to visit one of the application centres and formally submit your application. You need to carry along all the required documents as per your application made online. In general, these documents are your academic, financials, and proof of admission and may require proof of accommodation as well. It usually takes up to three weeks to get your application results unless additional requirements are asked.
